A tale of two states
Our summer destination was the south-western corner of Victoria, on the coast, so we had the added benefit of being able to hop across to South Australia for a visit. We camped in the Lower Glenelg River National Park which was a great choice. The campsite was full of wildlife and very peaceful. The Glenelg river meanders from the rugged Grampians down to the coast, travelling through the National Park, before eventually emptying into a picturesque estuary at the seaside town

A peak at the high country
A special anniversary event and a desire to breathe in some crisp, mountain air took us across Victoria to the high country town of Whorouly. This was our base for exploring the King and Ovens River valleys, enjoying gourmet food and wine experiences, following the Kelly gang trail and touring through the magnificent Mount Buffalo National Park. King Valley The King River Valley is a reknown wine-producing and agricultural region situated between Wangaratta and the Alpine Nat

Otway Odyssey
There's nothing like a rainforest to soothe the soul. The Otway Ranges, a favourite destination for us in Victoria, offers a serene escape into nature. It was a peaceful and private campsite, surrounded by towering river red gums and perched on the banks of a deep and cool creek system. The well-maintained boat ramp doubled as a launching pad for swimming in the cool running water. A most welcome activity on a hot day. With this as our

La Belle - Bellarine Peninsula
It all started with a glorious sunrise over Corio Bay in Geelong, where we stayed for few days to explore the magnificent Bellarine Peninsula on the Victorian coast. Geelong This is a great town to visit with loads of natural beauty and all the advantages of a large city for art, dining and entertainment options. A delicious seafood dinner on the pier was delightful. The morning light over the shallow and still water provided some great photography opportunities as well as be
