South Australia has some wonderful scenery, and the Fleurieu Peninsula does not disappoint. Only a 40 minute drive from Adelaide, this Peninsula offers some great experiences and fabulous coastal scenery. Coastal walks and bike tracks hug the coast making it easier for the community to get outdoors and enjoy the experience. We stopped at the Star of Greece cafe for a coffee and lingered to watch the clouds shift and change along this majestic coastline. The Peninsula was named by French explorer Nicolas Thomas Baudin after Charles Pierre Claret de Fleurieu, who was also a French explorer, hydrographer and politician.
